Where Petals Remember

This painting emerged as an exploration of memory—not as something we deliberately recall, but as something quietly waiting within us.

As I painted, I realized these flowers carried a feeling rather than a place. They spoke of warmth, gentleness, and quiet happiness. Only later did I understand why. Without realizing it, I had painted the roses from my grandmother’s garden.

I didn’t set out to recreate those flowers, yet they found their way onto the canvas, as if memory had its own language. Layers of luminous color, soft textures, and expressive marks became a space where the past and the present gently meet.

Where Petals Remember is an invitation to pause and reconnect with the moments that continue to shape us—not through longing, but through gratitude. It celebrates the quiet beauty of memories that live within us, waiting to return when we need them most.

Some memories don’t ask to be remembered; they simply bloom again.
